Flatulence: It’s a Gas, Part II

Flatulence is not a new topic here at The Gate but, at the risk of once again being anal about it, we decided to probe into this topic a little deeper rather than fall behind on what FlyerTalk members are thinking — and passing.

The Audacious and Unmitigated Flatulence thread in the Continental OnePass forum explores the flatulence issue in a way that will — er…shall we say — retain your attention, unlike the fact that offenders of the flatulence issue fail to retain their toxic gaseous creations to themselves…

    Hey Brian,
This is a very important topic to mention because the close quarters can make for some very uncomfortable situations.

Unfortunately flying actually creates more flatulence than normal through process that has been termed “jet bloat.” You see the further up you go the more the air in your body expands and the more likely it makes you to expel the air in the form of flatulence.

One of the best remedies and a product that has been mentioned in Prevention Magazine as well as on numerous blogs is CharcoCaps. CharcoCaps is an activated charcoal tablet that actually adsorbs the gas and air that causes the flatulence relieving bloating and intestinal pain.

  5. A number of the natural homemade remedies to cure bloating are pop in some seeds of celery and chew on them. You can also take some chamomile, prepare some tea with it and drink it. This will give instant relief to your bloating. Such teas can be made from other things like ginger, peppermint and ginger. As these teas are made from the natural products they are very healthy and they have no side effects at all.
