$5,325 to Rent an Economy Car for 11 Days?!? That is Some Error…
I was researching different Internet web sites to find out how much it would cost to rent a car for eleven days; and when I came upon Expedia.com, these are the results it displayed to me under the column for Avis on the far right:
$5,325.00 to rent an economy car for 11 days? Seriously?!?
I decided to play along as my curiosity was piqued; but I chose the compact car — which was bizarrely less expensive at $2,853.27 for the eleven days — rather than the economy car.
After I clicked on my choice of car, I was greeted with the following information:
Wow! I just saved $2,471.47!!! That is not good news; that is outstandingly stupendous news!!!
Hey, AutoSlash — try and beat those savings!!!
I missed the golden opportunity of using a “click-bait” headline for this article: How Expedia Saved Me $2,471.47 on a Rental Car — and You Can Do It Too!
Oh, well…time to get back to my research for an upcoming trip…
…and I hope that you got a good laugh out of this; but now I would like to hear from you: have you encountered any similarly obvious errors when attempting to book a rental car, airline ticket or room at a hotel or resort property?
