72 Hour Sale: Save Up to 50% Off Hilton Hotels in Japan and South Korea — Yet Again

B ook your reservation at 15 different participating Hilton Worldwide hotel properties — ten in Japan and five in South Korea — through 2:00 in the afternoon January 16, 2015 and stay through March 31, 2015 as a result of this 50 Percent Off 72-Hour Time Sale.

The hotel properties in Japan which are participating in this promotion include:

  • Conrad Tokyo
  • Hilton Tokyo
  • Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa
  • Hilton Tokyo Bay
  • Hilton Osaka
  • Hilton Nagoya
  • Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk
  • Hilton Niseko Village
  • DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Naha
  • Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort

The hotel properties in South Korea which are participating in this promotion include:

  • Conrad Seoul
  • Grand Hilton Seoul hotel
  • Millennium Seoul Hilton hotel
  • Hilton Namhae Golf & Spa Resort
  • Hilton Gyeongju

Bizarrely enough, this time around, you can also save between 25 percent up to 50 percent at three hotel properties in the United States which are participating in this promotion, including:

  • Hilton Waikoloa Village
  • Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
  • Hilton San Francisco Union Square

Full payment is required in advance at the time of booking your reservation; and that payment is not refundable. Your credit card will be charged immediately for the total amount quoted for the entire stay as reserved; and refunds or credits will not be issued. Charges cannot be applied to other stays, services or merchandise. Your reservation cannot be changed once it is booked. Blackout dates may apply and vary by property. This offer may not be combined with other select promotions, offers or discounts — including Hilton Premium Club Japan — and it is not valid for existing reservations or groups. Rates are exclusive of all taxes, incidental charges, gratuities and resort fees where applicable.

This promotion appears to occur every two or three months; with the last occurrence in October of 2014.

Last year, this offer could not have come at a better time, as I had already been searching for a hotel room in Seoul for earlier this month and was pleasantly surprised when I found this sale by accident. The tax is 21 percent — rather hefty but not unusual — but the total cost for a hotel room for one night at the Grand Hilton Seoul as a result of this iteration of this promotion was 139,150.00 South Korean Won; or approximately $137.00 excluding foreign transaction fees, if any. However, this offer is subject to availability — and by my experience, availability is somewhat limited, as not all of the dates I was seeking were available.

I still intend to post a trip report and review of my experience at the Grand Hilton Seoul hotel property — and it was a positive experience. Of course, you still earn Hilton HHonors frequent guest loyalty program points for your stay; and you also can participate in other promotions.

Continuing to use the Grand Hilton Seoul hotel property as an example, you can reserve a room for as low as 65,000.00 South Korean Won per night; or approximately $60.00 per night excluding foreign transaction fees, if any. The room rate excludes taxes.

Despite my loathing of purchasing hotel room nights in advance, this sale has already saved me money in the past — and it can save you money as well if you act quickly.

I was quite excited when I saw the announcement of this sale. Alas, the four nights I was looking for in Tokyo were not available at the Hilton (or my preferred) Conrad. I took a glance at the available dates, and they seem rather “suspect,” at least for Tokyo. Not sure why they bother with a “flash sale” with such limited dates. Isn’t the purpose of a “flash” to limit things more so by forcing you to book non-refundable rooms within a very limited timeframe?

I am disappointed that you are not able to take advantage of this flash sale, baccarat_guy.

I suppose people need to be quite flexible to take full advantage of the flash sale…
