Air Canada Named Preferred Airline in Canada

Y ou might wonder to yourself what is the point of a poll by frequent business travelers based in Canada naming Air Canada as the preferred airline in Canada — as did I…

…but a quick look at this Wikipedia article shows that Canada actually has slightly greater than 100 airlines serving it.

Hey — it’s a big country.

In addition to such airlines as WestJet and Porter Airlines, there are also airlines of the likes of airCreebec, Air North, Kivalliq Air, Thunder Airlines, and West Wind Aviation.

With all of that competition, I am amazed that Air Canada actually won that coveted title in the Ipsos Reid Canadian Business Traveller Study. Congratulations and good work to Air Canada.

Now that that is done, it is probably time to find out which is the preferred airline in Liechtenstein by business travelers based in Liechtenstein.

Meanwhile, I know that frequent fliers enjoy “collecting” things — such as the number of states in the United States to which they have been; all of the high points in the world to which they can access; the number of premium class experiences offered by as many different airlines as possible; and the models of airplanes on which they have flown…

…but there must be someone reading this article who “collects” how many airlines based in Canada on which he or she has flown as a passenger. Are you that person?

There may be quite a lot of airlines in Canada, but only two of them service the whole country. The rest are all small regional airlines. So if it’s rating the entire country, it’s probably just between Air Canada and Westjet.
