You can purchase airfares as low as $27.00 one way on flights operated by Southwest Airlines through tomorrow, Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:59 in the evening of the respective time zone of the originating city — or you could use as few as 822 Rapid Rewards points to purchase a flight — through this sale, which lasts for only two days.

As Low as $27 Airfares on Southwest Airlines For Two Days Only

This sale is valid for both domestic and international flights from Tuesday, October 17, 2017 through Wednesday, February 14, 2018 — but there are a number of restrictions about which you should know before purchasing airfares through this sale.

Blackout Dates

The blackout dates for both domestic and international travel are:

  • Friday, November 17, 2017 through Tuesday, November 28, 2017
  • Thursday, December 21, 2017 through Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Select Terms and Conditions

You are required to purchase your tickets at least 21 days in advance.

Travel on both domestic and international flights is valid only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

Fares are valid on non-stop service only to and from California domestic; to and from Los Angeles-Cabo; and to and from Orange County.

Displayed prices include all United States and international government taxes and fees.

Bookings using Rapid Rewards points do not include taxes, fees, and other government charges and airport charges of at least $5.60 per one-way flight.

Fares not available to or from San Juan in Puerto Rico.

Seats and days are limited. Fares may vary by destination, flight, and day of week and will not be available on some flights which operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods.

Travel is available for one-way Wanna Get Away fares.

Fares may be combined with other combinable fares from Southwest Airlines. If combining with other fares, the rules of the most restrictive fare apply.

Sale fares may be available on other days of week; but that is not guaranteed.

Fares cannot be refunded; but they may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines — as long as reservations are canceled at least ten minutes prior to the scheduled departure. Failure to cancel prior to departure will result in forfeiture of remaining funds on the reservation.

Any change in itinerary may result in an increase in fare. Standby travel may require an upgrade to the Anytime fare depending on Rapid Rewards elite tier status.

Fares are subject to change until ticketed.

This offer applies only to published, scheduled service.

Other terms and conditions may apply.

Summary

One reason why I typically do not highlight sale fares — such as the ones from Frontier Airlines — here at The Gate from low-cost or ultra-low-cost carriers is expressed well by FlyerTalk member iahphx, who claims that “Frontier’s sales seem to be reaching maximum absurdity” as one example; and in fact, a one-dollar airfare sale cost Frontier Airlines $60,000.00 in fines

…but FlyerTalk member nsx posted in this discussion that “$29 fares including taxes haven’t been seen here in a very long time. Maybe decades. This is perfect for segment runs to qualify for fast track to A-list or even to reach 100 flights for Companion Pass. (Although same-day segment runs are likely to be auto-cancelled, requiring a phone call to restore them.)”

If you are a resident of California, you especially benefit from this deal, as not only do you most likely have access to the lowest airfares in this sale to qualify for fast track to A-list elite tier status; but you can also opt to receive a match to Rapid Rewards A-List elite tier status if you meet the requirements detailed in this article.

As a result, FlyerTalk members expressed their gratitude for this information — so I am passing it on to you.

If you happen to be at a point where you want to requalify for A-list elite level status; you want to use your Rapid Rewards points at a discount; or you simply want to save some money on airfares — and do not mind the restrictions — get moving on this sale before it ends tomorrow night.
