I have always enjoyed maps ever since I can remember, as I could stare at them and read them for hours — and when I wanted to compare the sizes of two countries recently, IfItWereMyHome.com was one of the results of the search.

With this tool using the Country Comparison feature, you can choose your country — or any other country, for that matter, using Google Maps as its engine — and have the outline of a different country overlay on top of it for comparison purposes. You can move the overlay to anywhere in the world you choose…

…and in addition, you get a list of information with which you can obtain more details simply by clicking on each fact — as well as more information about the country itself.

You can even compare the area of two disasters from 2010 — the oil spill associated with British Petroleum; and the massive flood in Pakistan — with the area of any country you like.
