The promotion is so incredibly simple — when being told “no” repeatedly is a good thing — as there are:

  • No minimum stays are required to start earning
  • No minimum number of nights are required in your stay
  • No restrictions by nights, cities or brands
  • No limits on how many Hilton Honors points you can earn during the promotion period

Terms and Conditions

You must be a member of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program to participate in this promotion; and you must register for this promotion prior to your first stay.

Once you have registered for this promotion, you will only receive bonus Hilton Honors points for nights completed during the promotion period — regardless of whether you check in for your stay before the promotion period begins or check out of your stay after the promotion period ends. You will earn double Hilton Honors bonus points per stay during the promotion period — meaning that you will receive a bonus equal to the number of base Hilton Honors points earned during a stay based on elite tier status at the time of checking out of the hotel or resort property. You will earn 10,000 bonus Hilton Honors points for every ten nights — up to a maximum bonus of 50,000 Hilton Honors points if you have already earned Diamond VIP elite level status.

Bonus Hilton Honors points earned on base points do not count toward qualification of elite tier status.

Please allow up to eight weeks from completion of your stay for points to appear in your Hilton Honors account.

There are restrictions on the amount of base points which can be earned on a single stay at certain brands. Hilton Honors membership, earning of Points & Miles when booking direct and redemption of Points are subject to Hilton Honors Terms and Conditions.

Not all room rates are eligible for this promotion — including but not necessarily limited to:

  • Wholesale or tour operator packages
  • Contracted crew rates
  • Travel agency discount rates
  • Packages exclusively for casino player card holders
  • Team Member Travel rates
  • Hilton Family Travel Rates
  • Stays secured utilizing Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Hilton Club timeshare programs
  • Hilton Grand Vacations marketing packages with a sales presentation requirement
  • Complimentary or barter rooms
  • NET Group rates
  • Series Group or IT Group rates
  • Contracted Entertainment or Encore rates
  • Third party Internet web site bookings — irrespective of rate paid
  • “Opaque” channel bookings where the brand may or may not be known at the time of purchase

Summary

Do not forget about this flash sale through which you can save up to 20 percent on the best available rates for stays at participating hotel and resort properties across many of the Hilton portfolio of brands in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada, which is still in effect until Friday, August 25, 2017.

Hilton has been doing a good job in continuing what is essentially the same popular promotion of awarding double Hilton Honors points per stay — but adding twists to it to differentiate it each quarter with few restrictions and yet keep the promotion fresh and interesting.

Even if you currently have no plans to stay at a hotel or resort property within the brand portfolio of Hilton, the only cost to you will be the few seconds of your time you spend registering for this promotion.

I’m afraid you added a sentence from the currently running promotion (the one ending August 31):

You will earn triple Hilton Honors bonus points per stay if you have already earned Diamond VIP elite level status.

My next travel is October and I didn’t have any hotel stays at all during the current promotion period. So I couldn’t take advantage of the triple point offer for diamonds. However, I am able to take advantage of the double points offer of the DoubleUp promotion starting this September. I won’t rack up ten nights at Hilton Honors properties. So I would have preferred the triple points version.
Anyway, thanks for the information! I just signed up and am happy to earn double points.

Thank you for catching that sloppy error on my part, Ralfinho. I corrected the sentence.

I hope that you maximize your earnings of points from this promotion.

Was a little bummed when I first read this post. It’s actually 10 nights and not 10 stays which works out better. Signed up and will probably stay at a Hampton Inn for the remainder of this year.

    1. Brian Cohen says:

Thank you for catching another sloppy error on my part, Kevin. I corrected it…

…and yes — ten nights is better than ten stays with regard to the bonus.

If I had to err — as I am only human — I would have much rather surprised you on the upside than attracted your attention with a headline which would have only led to disappointment.

May you maximize your earnings of points with this promotion.

  3. jasdou says:

Agreed, the Triple Points on Every Stay was a better deal for Diamond members, even if one racks up ten stays. A bit disappointed by this new promo to be honest.

    1. Brian Cohen says:

I can understand your disappointment, jasdou — but all promotions eventually wax and wane.

Look on the bright side: at least the disappointment is only minor; as it is still a good promotion — which is still better than none at all…
