Earn Double or Triple Stripes at TGI Fridays This Week in Addition to Bonus Gift Cards
S imilar to many other restaurant chains this time of year, you can earn a bonus gift card worth anywhere between $5.00 and $25.00 for every $25.00 you spend on a gift card — but if you are a member of the Give Me More Stripes loyalty program of TGI Fridays, you can earn double Stripes per dollar spent on gift cards from now through Sunday, November 30, 2014; and you can earn triple Stripes per dollar spent on gift cards on Friday, November 28, 2014.
This means that with every gift card worth $25.00, you get at least five dollars and earn 75 Stripes on what is being called Black Friday this coming Friday at TGI Fridays. To give you an idea as to what you can get with the stripes you earn and redeem, here is a list of rewards:
- 50 Stripes = free dessert
- 80 Stripes = free sandwich or signature dessert
- 100 Stripes = $8.00 off of the purchase of food; or a free seafood or chicken entrée
- 110 Stripes = free stacked burger
- 150 Stripes = free ribs or steak entrée
…so purchasing gift cards worth $50.00 during this coming Friday will net you a minimum of $10.00 and perhaps as much as $50.00 while earning 150 Stripes — which is not a bad deal. I do not dine at TGI Fridays restaurants often — perhaps five times a year at most, if that — but it is a good place to get a casual meal.
Although the double Stripes offer ends this coming Sunday, you can still earn a minimum of $5.00 for every $25.00 you spend on gift cards between now and Wednesday, December 31, 2014; and the bonus gift cards will be valid through Saturday, February 28, 2015.
The value of the bonus gift card is revealed after you scratch off the designated area on the card. If you do not win a prize, the bonus gift card is automatically worth $5.00.
You must be a resident of the United States who is 21 years of age or older. No purchase is necessary to participate in the bonus gift card promotion; although if you do not win when you mail in your entry, you do not get a bonus gift card worth $5.00. Other terms and conditions apply.
If you visit a restaurant twice and order three of five choices of ribs for $10.00 each time in the RibFlight Trio promotion — as well as rate your experience at least once — you will rack up 50 bonus Stripes; and I did not see anything in the terms and conditions of either promotion where you cannot benefit from both promotions simultaneously…
…and if you are not already a member of the Give Me More Stripes loyalty program of TGI Fridays, joining will automatically earn you one Jump the Line Pass that allows you to skip to the front of the crowd; as well as a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert when you first sign up.
To summarize: if you visit a restaurant location of TGI Fridays twice — one of those visits this coming Friday — and…
- Order ribs each time you visit
- Rate your experience dining on the ribs
- Purchase one gift card worth $25.00 on one of those visits this coming Friday
- Join the Give Me More Stripes loyalty program if you are not already a member
…you will receive at least 125 Stripes — more than enough to redeem for a free entrée — and a bonus gift card worth a minimum of $5.00; as well as a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert.
I benefited from this promotion back in 2011 where I received 4,500 Gold Points and 50 Stripes points simply for signing up to join the Club Carlson Gold Points frequent guest loyalty program — probably because TGI Fridays was a Carlson Restaurants Worldwide company until earlier this year when the restaurant chain was acquired by Sentinel Capital Partners and TriArtisan Capital Partners; so it is probably safe to say that a similar promotion will likely not be repeated.
Those 4,500 Club Carlson Gold Points were used towards my stay at the Park Inn by Radisson Budapest hotel property last month during my unintentional trip around the world — but I digress.
Ribs do not appeal to me; so I will not participate in the RibFlight Trio promotion…
…but if you do like to dine at TGI Fridays restaurants and enjoy ribs, you can do fairly well with these promotions. I hope that you are able to take full advantage of them.
