Earn Triple Avios Points With New British Airways Global Promotion
E arn triple Avios points on British Airways flights — including OpenSkies between Paris Orly International Airport and either New York or Newark — as well as qualifying flights operated by American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia between Europe and North America through Sunday, December 11, 2016.
You are required to register for this promotion; and you must be a member of the British Airways Executive Club frequent flier loyalty program who is 18 years of age or older and is a resident in the participating countries in order to be eligible to participate. Once a thank you message is displayed as confirmation that your registration has been successful, you can then book and travel on up to four return flights or eight flight segments prior to Sunday, December 11, 2016. All travel must be completed within the promotional period.
The bonus Avios will be awarded before any cabin or tier bonuses on all tickets except reward flights. You can calculate the number of Avios points you can collect through this promotion on a qualifying flight by clicking here.
Select Terms and Conditions
Avios points will be credited to your account within 24 hours of completion of the qualifying flights, which are subject to availability and capacity control in the booking classes eligible for this promotion at the time of booking. British Airways does not accept any liability in the event that you are unable to book a qualifying flight for your chosen period of travel.
Bookings reserved via telephone will carry an offline booking fee of £5.00 per person per ticket — and this fee cannot be refunded.
This promotion cannot be used retrospectively; and it only applies to those who book and travel within the period.
If you change your travel arrangements after the date of booking, you will not be eligible for any Avios bonus award unless your revised travel arrangements also qualify under the terms and conditions of this promotion.
All bookings under this promotion will be covered by the fare rules and conditions of the original fare— including any applicable refund and change fees. All refunds are subject to the fare rules for the class of ticket booked.
Other terms and conditions apply.
The term “resident in the participating countries” seems to suggest that only residents of the United Kingdom, the United States including Puerto Rico, Norway, Switzerland, Mexico, and countries included in the European Union are eligible to participate in this promotion; so if you are based in a country such as Albania, Russia, Serbia or Ukraine — or a continent such as Asia, Africa, Australia or South America — you may be out of luck. Still, there is no harm in at least trying to see if you qualify for this promotion.
Otherwise, this promotion seems to be straightforward and includes all published or corporate negotiated net fares — including what are considered to be low airfares.
This is your chance to increase your earnings of Avios points in a shorter period of time; so consider registering for this promotion — especially if you intend on flying as a passenger on airplanes operated by the aforementioned airlines on qualifying flights — in order to capitalize on this opportunity.
