Although additional lounges will supposedly be opening at other airports in the United States “soon”, Escape Lounges are now currently open at:

Amenities of Escape Lounges

You can leave the hustle of the airport terminal behind and enjoy a premium experience which includes:

  • Unlimited food and beverages freshly prepared in the lounge
  • Menus curated by local chefs using locally sourced produce
  • Ultra high-speed Wi-Fi that is separate from the airport connection
  • Plentiful power outlets to recharge for the journey ahead
  • Comfortable furniture in a contemporary setting
  • Complimentary business services

Terms and Conditions

The limit is one discount per visit. You must provide official personal identification which proves that you are a minimum of 21 years of age to receive alcoholic beverages. This offer is valid only for the option purchased and will include food and drinks from complimentary menu. All goods or services must be used by the same person. Vouchers may only be redeemed at the Escape Lounges within the United States.

Summary

This is a nice offer in general, as the typical rate for a day pass is $43.00 — meaning that a visit to one of the Escape Lounges should cost $33.00 after the discount. That certainly seems like a better deal than having to pay $59.00 for one visit to a Delta Air Lines Sky Clubceteris paribus.

The only issue is that this offer is only good at three airport lounges — meaning that unless you are at the airports which serve Hartford, Minneapolis and Oakland, this offer is useless.

I have never been in any of the Escape Lounges — but if you have been to at least one of them, I would like to read about your experience in the Comments section below. Do they compare favorably to the competition?

Big deal. I’d rather they just give out a lounge pass once a year or something like that. It’s like putting an offer out that hardly anyone can use so it doesn’t cost much. They could at least make this tiered so Execs and Exec Elites get better offers on this.

A lounge pass once per year, DaninMCI? Of our choosing?!?

I would be up for that…

I hit the Escape lounge in Oakland both on arrival and departure last month with my AMEX Business Platinum. Food and drinks were enjoyable, seating was comfortable… only gripe could be the lounge was a bit on the smaller side. For free with AMEX, I’ll visit every time. If I had three or four hours to kill I’d be willing to pay about $30 for it… $45-$50 would be pushing it though.
