Forget Milk. Here is Your Chance to Get Your Share of Money From Optical Disk Drive Antitrust Settlement

You may be eligible for benefits from settlements which have been reached in an antitrust litigation currently pending in federal court pertaining to optical disk drives purchased for your own use and not for resale between Tuesday, April 1, 2003 and Wednesday, December 31, 2008 — and you must either submit your claim here or via postal mail by Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Here is Your Chance to Get Your Share of Money From Optical Disk Drive Antitrust Settlement

You can receive up to ten dollars per optical disk drive purchased during the aforementioned period of time; but there is one catch: individuals and businesses must reside or be based in the District of Columbia or the following 23 states in the United States:

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Hawaii
  • Kansas
  • Maine
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • New Hampshire
  • New Mexico
  • New York
  • North Carolina
  • Oregon
  • Tennessee
  • Utah
  • Vermont
  • West Virginia
  • Wisconsin

Summary

There was a settlement involving milk which has been reported elsewhere at BoardingArea where you could have received up to five dollars for every claim; but the time to submit your claim has since expired.

That laptop computer you purchased between Tuesday, April 1, 2003 and Wednesday, December 31, 2008 was most likely equipped with an optical disk drive and would qualify for the settlement — as would a portable external optical disk drive which may have traveled with you.

I do not qualify to take advantage of this pending settlement because I am based in the state of Georgia; but I hope that you can benefit from it.
