Getting Past Airport Security Can Be a Hairy Situation…

While Mustache, beard and TSA may sound like a musical trio — but, sadly, not quite a barbershop quartet — from the 1920s, can a person shown clean-shaven in a photograph on official government identification be permitted past an airport security checkpoint by the Transportation Security Administration? Would the person be stopped and questioned, razoring a hair-trigger security alert, or will the person barely scrape by a whisker — or hundreds, more accurately — because there is the possibility that Transportation Security Administration officials may simply turn the other cheek?

In other words, who will be the hero, and who will be the goatee?…

…and what if the person in question is a woman?…
