Great Sale? Perhaps — If You Can Get Through; and If…

F rontier Airlines is having a great sale effective through tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from the many articles I have read today; and unlike many other sales offered by Frontier Airlines — such as this one from six days ago — the sale fares can be used on round-trip itineraries instead of only one way; and you do not need to be a member of the Discount Den to take advantage of these low airfares.

All right — I thought I would do a little research and sample some itineraries to report to you. That was initially not possible, as I kept encountering the rather apologetic message you see at the top of this article.

Well, that’s nice. It is rather irritating when a sale is promoted but the company offering the sale apparently does not have the technical infrastructure to be able to handle the traffic.

Being persistent, I finally got through; and the official Internet web site of Frontier Airlines was slo-o-o-o-o-w. I thought I was back on dial-up access to the Internet for a moment. Here is a sample round-trip airfare between Atlanta and New York:

I did not venture further into the booking process because the Internet web site was extremely slow; and I was not interested in purchasing a ticket.

The airfares are only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as seen below for flights between Chicago and San Francisco before the discount is applied…

…so the good news is that it is indeed possible to book a round-trip airfare for as low as $29.98 if:

  • You use promotion code SAVEBIG when booking your flight itinerary
  • Your travels occur between Tuesday, September 1, 2015 through Wednesday, November 18, 2015
  • You do not need to pay any extra in ancillary fees
  • Blackout dates do not disrupt your travel plans
  • You are able to travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday; and
  • You have a lot of patience and time researching and booking the flights you want
