Highlights of National Cheeseburger Day 2017

Monday, September 18, 2017 is National Cheeseburger Day 2017 — there are a number of theories as to how exactly the cheeseburger came into existence which have not been proven, verified or even agreed upon universally — and there are some highlights about which you might want to know, as they could save you money.

Free Cheeseburger at Ruby Tuesday With Purchase of Adult Entrée — But…

Ruby Tuesday will be offering a free cheeseburger — up to a maximum value of ten dollars — with the purchase of an adult entrée on Monday, September 18, 2017 and Tuesday, September 19, 2017 — but you must be a member of the Ruby Tuesday SoConnected program by Friday, September 15, 2017 in order to receive the special coupon offer.

If you do not like cheese on your hamburgers, this offer appears to be good for any hamburger up to a value of ten dollars.

Although I rarely dine at Ruby Tuesday, if you do decide to take advantage of this offer, my personal recommendation is to go for the Triple Prime Burger. You can substitute the fries with onion rings at no additional charge; and you should be able to add cheese to it, if you like.

Triple Triple Challenge at Wayback Burgers

Cheeseburger aficionados — especially Alexander Bachuwa of The Points of Life and Michael W. of Michael W Travels… — will be interested in this challenge offered by Wayback Burgers. The restaurant chain is offering $3,330.00 to the person who can eat the Triple Triple Burger — which comprises of nine beef patties topped with nine slices of cheese, lettuce and tomato — in the shortest amount of time nationwide on Monday, September 18, 2017 to become the…er…Triple Triple Chompion of the Triple Triple Challenge.

The cost of the Triple Triple Burger is the responsibility of the contestant. Sorry, Alexander — and yes, I know all too well of your dislike and disdain for tomatoes from this now-legendary article in which you lost a similar challenge because of those nefarious tomatoes

Habit Burger Grill

Here is an offer with which you can be helpful while saving money: throughout the entire month of September, get a free Charburger with cheese on your next visit for every donation of a minimum of $2.00 to No Kid Hungry, to which 100 percent of all donations go directly to help kids in the United States receive nutritious food.

Also, you can join the CharClub as a member and you will get a special treat — such as a free hamburger, for example — on your birthday.

Free Cheeseburger at Burger 21

While not necessarily exclusive to National Cheeseburger Day, download the mobile software application program of Burger 21 for a free Cheesy Burger — which includes lettuce, tomato, and your choice of American, cheddar or Swiss cheese on a toasted brioche bun — and you also get a discount of five dollars for every seven visits.

Champps Kitchen + Bar

Also not necessarily exclusive to National Cheeseburger Day, join the MVP League at Champps Kitchen + Bar and get a free Champps Cheeseburger.

Johnny Rockets

Again, not necessarily exclusive to National Cheeseburger Day; but join the Rocket eClub at Johnny Rockets and you will instantly get a free hamburger — plus you will receive another hamburger on your birthday.

Smashburger

Join SmashClub at Smashburger and get a free entree with the purchase of a side and drink simply for signing up as a member.

Rally’s

Use coupon code 4111 to get a free hamburger at Rally’s — and presumably at Checkers as well.

At the time this article was written, there are not as many deals being offered this year as compared to last year — but I attempted to find the most significant deals pertaining to National Cheeseburger Day; and if I find additional deals, I intend to list them here.

Please peruse this article if you want to find out about other “food holidays” on which you might be able to find discounts or free food offerings from dining establishments.

In the meantime, I have yet to decide as to how I am going to “celebrate” National Cheeseburger Day — but I can assure you one thing: it will not be by eating a cheeseburger, as I dislike cheese on my food…
