In Memoriam: Noelene

A lthough almost two years have passed since the last time FlyerTalk member Noelene posted any content on FlyerTalk — “CX PE gives 1.5 EQP but only 110%EQM so your comparing calculations are a little off” is the last word of advice she gave on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 7:21 in the evening Eastern Standard Time — she is not any less a member of the frequent flier community.

In Memoriam: Noelene

In fact, quite the opposite: she is fondly remembered for her contributions to the frequent flier community — as well as for her being such great fun and full of life. “Noelene was a 12+ year Flyertalk member based out of MEL who passed away yesterday after a valiant battle with health issues over the last few years”, according to this tribute posted by FlyerTalk member boxo. “She was an ace mileage-runner back in the day. And I mean ace. Her itineraries were always impressive. She loved living the top tiers hotel and airline status life and she did it well.”

The last time Noelene logged onto FlyerTalk prior to to passing away on Monday, January 16, 2017 was Monday, August 3, 2015 at 6:12 in the evening Eastern Daylight Time.

Summary

I did not know Noelene personally nor have I ever met her or communicated with her; but the loss of a FlyerTalk member is still sad for me. I really dislike having to mourn another of our brethren.

Any other information pertaining to Noelene — such as funeral services or an Internet web site pertaining to remembering details about her life — is unavailable to me at the time this article was written. I intend to edit and amend this article if any new information is available to me so that she can be properly remembered with a more fitting tribute.

In the meantime, my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Noelene. May she rest in peace while eternally flying first class

…and this article will end with the words posted by boxo, who I have met in person and from whom I “stole” the photograph: “My Bestie, I shall miss you terribly. <3”
