Select Terms and Conditions

You must be a legal resident of the United States and Canada who is 21 years of age or older in order to participate in this promotion; and you must select to receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points in your profile and on your rental car reservation. If another frequent travel loyalty program is selected in your profile instead, you will not qualify to participate in this promotion.

Any car class and rental length qualifies for this promotion — as long as it is a paid rental for a full day and earning Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points on the transaction. This offer cannot be used with Pre-Pay Rates, Tour Rates, Insurance Replacement Rates, or any other promotion other than your CDP#.

You can only use one PC# per vehicle rental if the rental qualifies for a promotion code.

If you use a corporate booking tool, you can take advantage of this promotion as long as the corporate booking tool includes your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member number.

The Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program awards you one point per qualifying United States dollar spent — or its equivalent — in the currency paid for the vehicle you rented. Bonus points will be added to your account up to ten days from the rental return; and the points can be redeemed immediately. Only paid rentals will qualify for this promotion. Advance reservations are required. Modifying your reservation may result in a change in your rental car rate; and modifications could invalidate this offer, which has no cash value and cannot be combined with any other bonus offer or other promotion.

Other terms and conditions apply; and here is a list of frequently asked questions.

Summary

What apparently is also no longer unclear when comparing this year to last year is that “Hertz has updated their expiration policy to require points to be earned or redeemed on a rental every 24 months, other activity no longer qualifies”, according to what was posted over at the official Internet web site of Dan’s Deals; but the bonus Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points which I have earned simply for registering in past promotions still have not expired — as of yet, anyway.

This time, I did not receive the e-mail message alerting me to this promotion — and yet I immediately not only qualified for the offer but also received the 25 bonus points even though the total of my account has not yet been updated…

…but does that mean that you cannot earn those 25 bonus points or participate in this promotion if you did not receive the e-mail message? The only way to find out is to try registering for this promotion, as the worst that can happen is that your participation will be denied — especially when there have been times in the past where I have qualified for promotions in which I never received an e-mail message.
