One Million Seats For Sale — But Hurry

I magine one million seats sold starting at £9.99 — approximately $13.67 each way; or $27.34 total for a round-trip itinerary — for a one-way flight to dozens of destinations throughout Europe in what would have been “the biggest sale ever” from Ryanair had the United Kingdom voted to remain in the European Union…

One Million Seats For Sale — But Hurry

…and yet the sale is on anyway — despite the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union by a narrow margin.

Sixteen airports throughout the United Kingdom are eligible as the origination of travel for this sale — including London Stansted Airport, where the bulk of the flights on sale originate.

The terms and conditions of this sale are simple: book your flights until midnight Greenwich Mean Time on Sunday, June 26, 2016 for travel between October and December. Seats are subject to availability and are available on selected routes only across the entire network. This offer excludes Leisure Plus and Business Plus fares.

Summary

Well, there is at least one bright spot in the chaos which is occurring in the financial markets today as a result of the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union — and although I am not completely certain that one million seats are included in this sale as was intended in the original iteration of this sale, when I randomly checked in the process of booking some flights, the £9.99 airfare was easy to find and quite available. That could change by the time you read this article, of course.

…and although the flights were inexpensive, I definitely paid more than £9.99 for them…
