Save Up to 25 Percent on Select Voyages to Antarctica

ou can save up to 25 percent off of select voyages to Antarctica when you travel between Tuesday, November 1, 2016 and Wednesday, March 15, 2017; but you must book your voyage with Quark Expeditions between now and Wednesday, September 30, 2015 to take advantage of that discount — which can save you as much as $7,948.00 per person.

The discount of 25 percent applies to bookings for premium cabins; while the discount for non-premium cabins is 15 percent — and only a limited number of cabins are available, as shown below:

Premium Cabins

  • Sea Adventurer Suite, Deluxe, Superior
  • Ocean Diamond Balcony Suite, Suite

Terms and Conditions

The discounts cannot be combined with any other promotion — other than referral and past passenger discounts; and they apply only to the voyage itself and are not applicable to land-based programs, adventure options, additional hotel accommodation, pre tours and post tours, insurance or flights. The discounts are also not valid for group bookings.

Other terms and conditions apply.

Summary

This promotion is not as good as other promotions Quark Expeditions had in the past — such as this promotion back in September of 2014 where you could have saved up to 50 percent off of a voyage to Antarctica — but if you have had a trip to Antarctica planned within the next couple of years, you might want to consider taking advantage of the discount of up to 25 percent off of the price of a voyage.

As I have said multiple times, I plan on going to Antarctica one day, as that is at the top of my list of places to where I want to travel. Antarctica is the only continent to which I have not yet visited; and I actually want to stay overnight at least one night on the mainland continent itself — preferable, at the South Pole…

…but once again, not this time — so I hope that you are able to take advantage of this offer.

I visited Antarctica back in 2010 and would definitely come back — and similar to you, hopefully sleep overnight by the South Pole. Let me know if you ever go… I know I need at least a few yeras to save up for it!
When I went in 2010, I opted for the chartered flights to Antarctica versus the cruise since I can’t handle seasickness that well, unfortunately.

I intend to let the whole world know if I ever sleep overnight at the South Pole, Joey. That is how thrilled I would be to do that.

Sleeping overnight at the North Pole — or, more accurately, all of the different North Poles — would be that much more difficult to accomplish, I would imagine.

I am sorry that you cannot handle seasickness well. I understand that a voyage across the Drake Passage can be amongst the worst in terms of rough seas…
