Select Terms and Conditions

Your credit card will be charged immediately for the total amount quoted for the entire stay as reserved; and refunds or credits will not be issued unless otherwise indicated by local law. Charges cannot be applied to other stays, services or merchandise. Reservation bookings cannot be changed or cancelled; and if a reservation is cancelled, you will forfeit the total charge for the room plus taxes. This offer may not be combined with any other sale promotions, offers or discounts; and is not valid for existing reservations or prior purchases. Offer components are not transferrable or redeemable for cash; and cannot be used during future stays.

This offer is only valid at participating hotel and resort properties seven days per week which participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program; and you must be a member in order to participate in this offer, which is not available in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa or Australia.

A limited number of rooms are available through this offer; and blackout dates or other restrictions may apply.

The promotional discount applies to the room rate only. Rates are per room, per night — based on single or double occupancy; availability at the time of reservation; and do not include state taxes, local taxes, or any additional per room, per night charges which may be imposed.

hotel stay or eligible stay means the minimum number of consecutive nights required paying a qualifying rate with Marriott — depending on the hotel or resort property; and regardless of the number of times you check in and check out of the same hotel or resort property — by a registered member of Starwood Preferred Guest.

You must reserve using promotional code DAILYDI or SPGDI — or by asking for “Our Biggest Sale of the Year” — in order to receive the offer, which does not apply to groups of ten or more rooms; and is void where prohibited by law. The “starting from” rate varies by hotel or resort property. Complimentary Wi-Fi provided at participating hotel and resort properties for members of Starwood Preferred Guest who book via a direct Marriott booking channel.

Members of Starwood Preferred Guest will receive an exclusive, preferred rate on this promotion when booking reservations for rooms at participating hotel and resort properties via direct booking channels such as spg.com, worldwide telephone reservation center, mobile software application program, or directly at a hotel or resort property.

In order to be eligible for Starwood Preferred Guest Member rates, guests must be an active member in good standing of Starwood Preferred Guest. Guests who are not members of Starwood Preferred Guest may join the program free of charge at www.spg.com or at the time of booking the reservation.

Other restrictions, terms and conditions — including those of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program — apply. Please see individual property terms and conditions for complete offer details.

Summary

Almost exactly identical to this chintzy promotion currently being offered by Marriott, this promotion is only valid for 39 days in only the western hemisphere — and you can bet that blackout dates will be imposed by many hotel properties during the week of Christmas, which could likely mean that this promotion is actually valid for even fewer than 39 days.

Moreover, $89.00 is a good room rate in general; but not what I call a fantastic rate, as you can bet that room rate cannot be found for higher-end hotel and resort properties. Also, remember that room rates start “from” $89.00, which gives a lot of leeway as to just how expensive starting room rates can be — or how few hotel or resort properties will actually offer it.

Still, you may be able to save money if you do your homework and if you have planned to stay at a participating hotel or resort property during the promotion period anyway — but I will not go out of my way primarily to participate in this disappointing promotion.
