How NOT to Stop an Airplane: Climb the Fence at the Airport

T hinking that her husband was aboard an airplane, a woman scaled a barbed wire fence which was ten feet tall at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia at approximately 8:30 in the morning on Sunday, August 10, 2014 with the intent to stop that aircraft, according to a Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesman as reported by Mayra Cuevas of CNN.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police intercepted the unidentified woman — who is 37 years of age — and apprehended her before she was able to get near any airplanes. She was taken to a hospital for a medical assessment.

Her husband was not aboard the aircraft in question; and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. I have not found out the reason why the woman tried in vain to stop that airplane — but she will most likely not be charged by authorities.

Meanwhile, personnel at the airport are conducting a full review of their security measures.

Why do you believe that the woman was adamant about stopping that airplane and intercepting her husband? I am interested in reading your thoughts pertaining to this mystery…
