Triple Starpoints For Dining During Weekdays

Through December 30, 2014, when you dine at 1,436 participating restaurants and bars at participating Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties throughout the world on Mondays through Thursdays and spend a minimum of $50.00, you will earn a “triple helping” of Starpoints — but you must register for the Triple Crave promotion from the Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program by November 30, 2014.

You do not have to stay at the hotel property in which the restaurant you dine is located to qualify for this promotion and earn a maximum of an additional four bonus Starpoints per eligible dollar spent for a total of six Starpoints per dollar; but you must supply your Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program number — or present your membership card — to the server upon arrival in order to receive the benefits of this offer. Elite status level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be tripled — only the two base Starpoints per dollar earnings are tripled.

The following blackout dates apply during this promotion:

  • Thanksgiving November 27, 2014
  • Christmas Eve December 24, 2014
  • Christmas Day December 25, 2014

Taxes, gratuities and discounts do not count towards the $50.00 minimum spend requirement for eligible food and beverage purchases. Service charges and taxes will be charged on retail prices. This promotion is applicable in conjunction with the ongoing Starwood Preferred Guest restaurant and bar discounts at participating restaurants; but it cannot be combined with other offers, promotions or events and is subject to change.

Purchases made or charges incurred by you for food and beverage — excluding alcoholic beverage purchases where prohibited by law — at participating restaurants located within or adjacent to hotel properties which participate in the Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program will be considered as an eligible purchase or charge if the:

  1. Restaurant permits guests to charge food and beverage on their folios
  2. Charges are greater than $10.00 after discount where applicable, as well as excluding taxes and gratuities
  3. Food and beverage is not in connection with a banquet, meeting or other function

Other terms and conditions apply.

Despite there being 1,436 restaurants and bars participating in this promotion, there really are not a lot of options or choices, in my opinion. This promotion is only available in three of the countries I am scheduled to visit in the near future; and there is not one dining establishment in the metropolitan area where I am based. Still, it does not hurt to register for this promotion.

As Kendra Collins of the Points and Pixie Dust weblog would probably say after her recent trip to Paris, bon appétit!
