I am a Chairman’s member of US Airways and sent the following email to them regarding the elimination of preferred member bonus miles. I encourage all to do the same.

I am in receipt of your email today regarding the policy changes for the Dividend Miles program and am extremely disappointed. Once again you are taking benefits away from your loyal customers and keeping or enhancing benefits to the less than frequent flyer. In the same email where you explain that you are dropping the bonus miles for preferred members you remind us that even if you don’t fly US Airways you can earn 25,000 miles just for signing up for a credit card. The preferred members prove their loyalty time and time again with every ticket purchased yet you take away our benefits and give them to individuals that may never produce one dollar of flight revenue for the airline. I understand the plight of the airline industry but remember that we are all under economic stress and taking benefits away from your loyal customers while rewarding others may not be the best course of action. I, for one will investigate other airline policies for preferred members to decide my course of action in these tough times. My frequent flights and revenue stream may be more appreciated elsewhere.
