"Your flight is fully booked" is code for "flight is cancelled"
“Your flight is fully booked” is code for “flight is cancelled” was the message freofan got (thanks to FT and no thanks to the airline in question) when asking about a flight a month away. In the absence of decent call centre standards, perhaps an FT guide to call centres would be useful? There could be sections on such topics as
- hang up and try again
- call centres to avoid and ones to call, even if it costs you more
- magic words to say to get the response you want
- deciphering call centre lingo
- Netherlands is in Norway or how to clue up clueless reps
