$5,000 to Rent a Vehicle
Unfortunately, FlyerTalk member SmilingBoy is not smiling lately.
He rented a vehicle from a local rental agency in Australia using a German credit card, but the four-wheel-drive vehicle was in no condition to navigate in and conquer the sand on Fraser Island, which was the express purpose of the rental of the rusted vehicle with greater than 250,000 kilometres logged on its odometre.
Now SmilingBoy faces having to pay greater than $5,000 because the vehicle had to be recovered from the sand, among other problems.
Can other FlyerTalk members help out in a clutch situation – literally – and help place a smile on the face of SmilingBoy once again?
