At $67,000 Per Night, Is This is the Most Expensive Hotel Room in the World?

Y ou can reserve the Royal Penthouse Suite at the Hotel President Wilson — a Luxury Collection hotel property of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide — at Lake Geneva for the bargain rate of 60,000 Swiss francs per night; or slightly fewer than $67.000.00 per night.

This is what you get for that room rate at “the largest and most luxurious suite in the world” located on the eighth and top floor of this hotel:

“The Royal Penthouse Suite offers the discerning guest 12 luxury rooms plus 12 marble bathrooms, as well as a private terrace, spanning around 1,700 m² in total, while it also features an unforgettable panoramic view across the lake with a magnificent mountain backdrop. With every conceivable amenity, such as the Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 4-103 flat-screen TV with sound system, the Steinway grand piano, a billiards table and a private gym, the suite leaves nothing to be desired. This truly unique suite stands for pure luxury with maximum security, from bulletproof glass to a private lift to take guests directly to their majestic living quarters.”

I have not yet found out about anyone who has successfully redeemed their Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program points for a night in this suite. In fact, this room cannot even be booked via the official Internet web site of Starwood Preferred Guest; so I highly doubt that Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program points can even be redeemed at all for this suite.

I would think that no ordinary flight to get to that hotel property would do justice to that suite. Hopefully, Etihad Airways will consider implementing its The Residence product on at least one of its aircraft to a flight to Geneva to round out the experience.

Let’s see…one night in that hotel suite, combined with a round-trip airfare on Etihad Airways in The Residence…that is $109,000.00 — not including gratuities and other incidentals.

I just found a quarter underneath my chair. I am well on my way to saving up for this experience…
