A Resort Fee Added on a $36 Rodeway Inn Room?

FlyerTalk member toomanybooks says that “This takes nerve: $5.50+tax “resort fee” for a $36 Rodeway” for a Rodeway Inn property in Kissimmee, Florida near Walt Disney World.

By the way, that $5.50 resort fee is purportedly per day, not for the entire visit.

A representative from one property in Anaheim claims “that all hotels less than a mile from Disneyland are required to charge it.” Could the same be true in Florida?

If you believe that this topic is already going downhill, wait until you read about the off-topic discussion concerning heated toilet water…

Even hostels are charging it. Freehand Hostel in Miami charges $25/day resort fee
