Amazing Deal? $51.00 Total Car Rental For Nine Days AND 5,000 Hilton Honors Points

For slightly less than $51.00 total — including all taxes and fees — you can rent a car for nine days and possibly earn 5,000 Hilton Honors points in the process.

One rental car company is currently offering a rate of as low as $3.80 per day one way to rent a car from New York and other locations in the northeastern United States to Florida this fall — which is quite possibly the lowest rate ever offered for a promotion such as this — and you could possibly earn 500 base Hilton Honors points plus 500 bonus Hilton Honors points for each day you rent the car up to a maximum of 5,000 points…

…but the oddest part of the $3.80 per day promotion is that at this time, I cannot find the specific details pertaining to this deal, as no details of this offer are posted at the official Internet web site of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The rental — from economy class all the way to a full size vehicle — includes unlimited miles.

If you want to rent a premium car, intermediate sport utility vehicle or standard sport utility vehicle, the cost is only $14.00 per day; a compact sport utility vehicle is $17.00 per day; and a minivan is $20.00 per day.

Also, you can rent a car from Alamo for $4.75 per day plus taxes and possibly earn Hilton Honors points, which is not as good as the deal from Enterprise Rent-A-Car — but it is still slightly better than the deals offered by Hertz, Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental and Avis and Budget.

Examples of This Deal

As an example, let us say you want to rent a vehicle in New York on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 and drop it off in Tampa on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

As you can see, the daily rate for a rental car — from economy class all the way to a full size vehicle — cost $3.80 per day; and if rented for four days at a total of $22.65, it beats the total to rent a car from Hertz at $4.99 per day for the same four days for $29.21 by $6.56; and you could possibly earn a total of 2,500 Hilton Honors points for this rental besides…

…and because the maximum amount of Hilton Honors points you can earn on renting a car is 5,000 points — which is 500 base Hilton Honors points plus 500 bonus Hilton Honors points for each day you rent the car — you would need to rent the car for nine days to possibly earn 4,500 Hilton Honors points, which would cost you a total of $50.96.

Summary

The reason I keep using the word possibly throughout this article pertaining to earning Hilton Honors points is because of this disclaimer…

Special contracted corporate or promotional rates — such as employee, net tour, travel agent, group, wholesale or package rates, crew, insurance, dealer replacement or other or non-revenue rentals — do not qualify for earning bonus Hilton Honors points.

…and I do not know whether or not this promotion falls under this disclaimer, as I have not rented a car through this offer — so I cannot definitively confirm the Hilton Honors bonus points portion of this promotion.

Do not forget that you can earn up to 5,000 Hilton Honors points on car rentals in 2017 in general with National Car Rental, Alamo Rent A Car, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car at participating locations worldwide — and this offer is valid for car rentals completed by Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Even if you do not earn Hilton Honors points with this offer, you still get a rental car rate of $3.80 per day plus taxes and fees, which is the lowest rate I have ever seen for one-way car rentals to Florida…

…but I very rarely use the word amazing in a headline for an article — and this deal with Hilton Honors points would qualify as amazing, in my opinion.

Peculiarly, National Car Rental is offering lower rates on one-way car rentals to Florida — even though most other rental car companies are offering them.

One warning which I must impart to you is if you decide to rent a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, do not return the vehicle after hours or when the facility is closed.
