As Low as $81 One Way Between Hawaii and United States Mainland 2021 Today Only — But…

…but you only have until the end of the day today only — Thursday, June 17, 2021 — to book these low fares with both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines, as these fares are part of broader sales which include other destinations.

That is not the only “but” to this otherwise amazing offer:

  • Seats are for Main Cabin Basic fares with Hawaiian Airlines or Saver fares with Alaska Airlines — both of which are the equivalent of basic economy fares — meaning that you are required to deal with restrictions on your travel.
  • Expect higher than normal traffic volumes at the official Internet web sites of both airlines; the official social media sites of both airlines; and the telephone lines of both airlines.
  • Rental vehicles are either prohibitively expensive — or worse: rental car companies have no vehicles in stock at all for many dates — in Hawaii.
  • Fares were in effect at the time this article was written; but could be sold out at the time of purchasing tickets — meaning that availability is limited.

Summary

In addition to these sales, I have been receiving a lot of seemingly incredible offers from other airlines on fares for flights to both Hawaii and Alaska this summer — but I generally cannot take advantage of them because once I arrive at my destination, I would either have no way of leaving the airport or paying an exorbitant amount of money for ground transportation due to the shortage of rental vehicles…

…but if you can take advantage of these sales, do so as soon as possible, as this potential opportunity ends at the end of the day today or when the supply of available seats is exhausted. Be sure to exercise patience due to the aforementioned high volumes of customer traffic; and be as flexible as possible with your travel plans.

Meanwhile, you can find 15 tips on what you can do as rental car rates increase in the United States — but do not expect miracles in both Hawaii and Alaska…
