Book Your Reservation With Frontier Airlines — Or Else…

…you may be “penalized.”
When you purchase the lowest airfare available when booking a reservation for a flight on Frontier Airlines on an Internet web site other than the official one of Frontier Airlines, you will earn only 50 percent of the miles flown as a passenger and a minimum of 250 Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent flier loyalty program miles. This is known as the basic fare option.
Purchasing your airline ticket directly from the official Internet web site of Frontier Airlines will still earn 100 percent of the miles flown as a passenger and a minimum of 500 Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent flier loyalty program miles. This is known as the economy fare option.
The fare option calculations as to the actual flight mileage earned — as well as the minimum mileage earned per flight — is shown above.
In other news, you can redeem as few as 20,000 Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent flier loyalty program miles for a round-trip domestic flight at standard award redemption levels. However, you are then subject to as much as $40.00 in baggage fees, as shown in the chart above — courtesy of the official Internet web site of Frontier Airlines.
On the other hand — in the chart shown on the left — you can redeem 40,000 Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns frequent flier loyalty program miles for a round-trip domestic flight at Choice award redemption levels — but there are no baggage fees…
…which essentially seems to me to be a choice of which is less costly: fewer miles redeemed or no baggage fees?
The standard award is an obviously clear choice if you have no bags.
Also, you will not be able to choose your seats if you book anywhere else other than at the official Internet web site of Frontier Airlines, where you can still choose your seats for flights on Frontier Airlines.
Do you believe that other airlines which have not already implemented these policies will follow suit?
