Chance For You to Win — Just by Watching a Safety Video

U nited Airlines has upped the ante with regards to the current trend of airlines converting their in-flight safety videos into entertaining productions which are designed to retain the attention of passengers so that they know what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Watch the new official safety video of United Airlines — and if you believe that you have found the hidden prizes, you could win.

Prizes already claimed for today were two airline tickets to Paris — the most valuable prize offered in this contest at an approximate retail value of $6,800.00 — and a volcano science project kit; but you could have a chance to win two airline tickets to New York or Las Vegas, valued at $1,300.00.

Go to the official Internet web site of this promotion at 1:00 in the afternoon Central Daylight Time every day through August 11, 2014 when two new prizes will be “unlocked” in order for you to have a chance to win. Two clues will be provided to assist you in winning. Use the clues provided and attempt to identify the “Hot Spot” — defined as an area within the United Safety video that contains a link to claim the available prize — within the video that contains the link to claim the prize; and the “Hot Spots” will only become visible when you moves your mouse over the pre-determined area within the video during the time that the prize within the “Hot Spot” is available. If you are the first person to correctly locate and click on a “Hot Spot”, follow the prompts on your computer screen in order to claim the prize. Once you activate the claim button on screen, you will have five minutes to submit a registration form with your full name, complete address and e-mail address which will complete the claim process for the prize revealed within the “Hot Spot.” If the prize is not claimed and verified within those five minutes, the prize may be forfeited.

This contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. There is a limit of one prize per household. Other terms and conditions apply.

I believe that promoting the safety video with a contest is a great way to get more people to watch and pay attention to the safety video — thanks to the possibility of winning a prize. Perhaps other airlines should consider a similar promotion for their safety videos.

Good luck to you!
