Decent Delta Air Lines Sale June 2019 For Travel From Atlanta to Select Other Destinations in the United States

Atlanta is not only a major hub of Delta Air Lines; but it is also the home to its headquarters — and therefore customers who are based in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area usually do not have access to the fares and redemption amounts of SkyMiles for travel which customers in other areas enjoy…

…but I received an e-mail message from Delta Air Lines for customers who are based in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area — and the sale fares which were advertised were the best ones which I have seen in a while, starting at $97.00 round trip.

You must purchase your ticket by Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in order to take advantage of the sale prices — so I decided to research this sale a little bit more by clicking on the portion of the e-mail message which directly links to the official Internet web site of Delta Air Lines for travel from Atlanta to New York.

I immediately saw that availability at the advertised fare of $147.00 — actually, $146.60, to be more precise — was neither plentiful nor scarce…

…but then again, I saw fares on a few days which were lower than advertised at $120.60 round trip; so I clicked on the fare for departure on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 and returning from the greater New York metropolitan area on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

As you may have guessed, the lowest advertised fare is for a seat in basic economy — but even though the fares for the main cabin are significantly more expensive by $70.00 for the cheapest fares, $190.60 is historically still not a bad fare at all round trip between Atlanta and Newark…

…and even better: first class is priced as low as $478.60 between Atlanta and Newark. That is a good deal. I do not remember the last time a first class fare round trip was this low between the two cities since Delta Air Lines had the A fares and D fares offered as “automatic upgrades” to first class at a premium price for economy class.

For this sale, each route has its own dates of travel when this offer is eligible, as travel may begin from Atlanta to:

Summary

I unfortunately cannot take advantage of this sale at this time; but if I could, I certainly would, as this sale offers some of the best round trip fares I have seen from Atlanta to other destinations in the United States in quite a long time.

Remember that the weekly SkyMiles sale is also quite decent this week with redemptions as low as 11,000 SkyMiles round trip — including from Atlanta as well.

I used this sale to get a one way positioning flight to EWR for a September trip to Bali on Singapore. Found out the first class fare was in the low $200s. Used 10k SkyMiles and paid in the low $100s. To Newark. In front. Yeah. I bit. So not a bad sale. Not bad at all.
