After being closed to the public since Saturday, March 14, 2020 as a result of the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic, the Delta Flight Museum will once again be open to visitors from Thursdays through Sundays as of Thursday, July 1, 2021.
Delta Flight Museum Opens Again to Visitors on July 1 2021
“Since that time we have been a socially distanced Delta Air Lines reservation call center, a Covid testing site for Delta employees, and a Covid vaccination site”, according to this official message from John Boatright, who is the current president of the Delta Flight museum. “The GEMA-run mass vaccination site in the parking lot, open to the general public since February, will be closing this Friday; and the smaller CVS-run vaccination site for Delta family and friends in our hangars will wrap up mid-June. With these vaccination sites drawing to a close, today we are pleased to announce that we will reopen to visitors on Thursday, July 1, 2021!”
Face masks and coverings for the nose and mouth will be required in all buildings and aircraft of the Delta Flight Museum; and the entrance lines into the Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 767-232 — which is better known as the Spirit of Delta — airplanes may need to temporarily be held as those are tighter spaces. As we start to work through our new logistics, group reservations are being deferred until the normal schedule of the Delta Flight Museum resumes — but reservations for meetings and events are currently being booked.

All areas of the Delta Flight Museum will remain closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays — and the goal is to be open on Mondays and Tuesdays back to the schedule sometime later this summer — but starting on Thursday, July 1, 2021, the following parts of the Delta Flight Museum will open Thursdays through Sundays from:
Museum: 10:00 in the morning through 4:00 in the afternoon
Boeing 747-400 Hours: 11:00 in the morning through 3:00 in the afternoon
Museum Store Hours: 9:30 in the morning through 4:30 in the afternoon
