Earn 10,000 Hilton Honors Points For Completing a Survey 2021

As your stalwart reporter, I decided to be the guinea pig last year when this promotion was originally offered for a limited time and try the process out in order to find out for myself if this is worthy of your time and effort.

After completing the form as shown in the above image, an e-mail message was sent to me for me to confirm the activation of my membership.

After waiting a moment for the e-mail message, I received it and I activated my membership with Guest Opinion Rewards, which is a free Internet survey community exclusive to members of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program which allows you to earn Hilton Honors points for sharing your opinions in surveys about the products and services you use everyday.

I was asked to complete forms pertaining to additional information about myself; and despite the warnings in the privacy policy pertaining to revealing sensitive information, certain questions pertaining to what I consider sensitive information — such as income and race — have choices of either Prefer not to answer or Prefer not to state are available in case you do not want to answer those questions.

There were several “pages” of questions — none of which were too difficult or time-consuming to answer. They were basically questions about employment, income, gender, race, and other information which you can choose to skip.

Time For My First Survey

Once I completed the series of questions, I was then invited to participate in my first survey pertaining to business — but after spending a few minutes on it, I was informed that I was not qualified to complete it. I earned ten Hilton Honors points for my effort.

Immediately afterwards, I was invite to complete another survey — this one pertaining to entertainment. That survey seemed like a shorter survey, as I only needed ten minutes to complete it…

…but I never successfully completed the survey — despite my trying to complete several of them…

…yet I was credited with the activation bonus of 10,000 Hilton Honors points — plus ten Hilton Honors points for each incomplete survey.

The points did not immediately post into my Hilton Honors membership account. Rather, I received an e-mail message which had the following statement:

Congratulations!

Issues With the Original Iteration of This Promotion

In response to the offer through which you can earn 10,000 Hilton Honors points simply by completing your first survey within 90 days by Thursday, December 31, 2020, several readers of The Gate reported that they only received only 1,250 Hilton Honors points instead — even though other readers did secure the 10,000 Hilton Honors points — and I had no idea why some readers lucked out while other readers seemed to be locked out.

The good news is that in response to an e-mail message which I sent, I quickly received an e-mail message from my contact at Hilton, who wrote:

“Sorry for the delay as I was looking into this. It appears there was a small anomaly on the backend with the promotion and my team is working to correct it to ensure members who completed receive the full 10K Hilton Honors Points.”

If you still have not received your 10,000 Hilton Honors bonus points, please let me know in the Comments section below at the conclusion of this article. You WILL receive your 10,000 Hilton Honors points if you completed your first survey.

Summary

Despite reports elsewhere to the contrary, no indication is given that this offer is targeted — nor was the original iteration of this offer ever targeted — so you should qualify for this offer if you are a member of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program.

The duration of the entire process was approximately twenty minutes, which includes the wait for the activation e-mail messages; completing my profile; and participating in five surveys — none of which I qualified.

Guest Opinion Rewards is quite similar to e-Rewards where you participate in surveys to earn points — the main difference being that you have a choice of where to earn points from the e-Rewards “dollars” you earn; whereas the points earned through Guest Opinion Rewards automatically go directly into your Hilton Honors membership account.

This seems to be a good way to keep the points in your Hilton Honors membership account from expiring if you do not mind taking surveys — but this is not exactly the easiest way to earn Hilton Honors points; and you might find that the time needed to complete the process may otherwise not be worth the effort…

…but at least earning the initial 10,000 Hilton Honors points is definitely worth the minimal time and effort, in my opinion — especially when you only need as few as 5,000 Hilton Honors points to stay at 23 hotel properties worldwide; or as few as 10,000 Hilton Honors points to stay at 79 hotel properties worldwide.
