Earn 2,000 Bonus Marriott Rewards Points Per Paid Stay at Protea Hotel Properties

E ffective through Monday, May 30, 2016, you can earn 2,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points per paid stay at Protea Hotel properties in Africa — with a maximum limit of up to 40,000 bonus points — but you must register for this promotion by Monday, May 30, 2016 in order to participate; and you must be a member of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program.

Terms and Conditions

A stay is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel property — regardless of the number of times you check in or check out of the hotel property.

Bonus Marriott Rewards points will be awarded to your account within three to five business days after the qualifying stay. Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for credit. Rooms booked through most third party online retailers and select travel agency bookings are ineligible to earn Marriott Rewards points. Only one room per hotel is counted toward your nights or stay.

Members electing to earn frequent flier loyalty program miles instead of Marriott Rewards points are not eligible for this promotion.

Summary

I had the opportunity last year to stay at a Protea Hotel property — the Protea Hotel Samrand, to be specific, which is one of the 101 hotel properties participating in this promotion — and you can read about my experiences in this article. Hopefully, you will encounter a better experience than what I endured.

Register for this promotion regardless of whether or not your travels will take you to Africa. The only cost to you will be the seconds of your time and minimal effort required to register for this promotion, as you have nothing else to lose.

I sure wish this promotion was in effect when I was in Africa last year; and you should be able to “stack” it with the current MegaBonus promotion.
