Earn 50 Percent More Elite Qualifying Mileage Plan Miles Spring 2020 With Alaska Airlines

…but you must register your Mileage Plan membership number prior to traveling with your first qualifying flight — then book your tickets and travel on any flight marketed and operated by Alaska Airlines or Horizon Airlines by Saturday, April 11, 2020 in order to earn 50 percent more elite qualifying Mileage Plan miles on each flight.

If Alaska Airlines is accepted as a full member in the oneworld alliance in the summer of 2021, you will be able to enjoy the elite level status you earned this year on other airlines — including American Airlines, with which Alaska Airlines has strengthened its partnership.

Benefits of elite level status in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan frequent flier loyalty program include:

  • Two checked bags for you and companions on the same reservation
  • Priority boarding
  • Complimentary upgrades when available — except when booking a Saver fare, in X class of service
  • Bonus miles on base miles earned
  • Access to preferred seating and dedicated customer service telephone lines

Select Terms and Conditions

Mileage for qualifying flights must be credited to the Mileage Plan membership account of the member. Not valid on free or award travel. The bonus elite-qualifying miles awarded as part of this promotion apply only to the number of miles that count toward elite status qualification and will not be available for redemption.

Other terms and conditions — including those of the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan frequent flier loyalty program — apply.

Summary

Whether Alaska Airlines decided to launch this promotion as a response to the decrease in travel which was caused by the 2019 Novel Coronavirus — which is also known as COVID-19 or 2019-nCoV — is really of no interest to me, because I refuse to use the term 2019 Novel Coronavirus in this article, as I have had more than enough of reading 2019 Novel Coronavirus, writing 2019 Novel Coronavirus, and saying 2019 Novel Coronavirus…

…so you will not see the term 2019 Novel Coronavirus used in this article. Or COVID-19. Or 2019-nCoV.

Just enjoy this promotion if you intend to participate in it — and I hope that you benefit from it in terms of earning elite level status with the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan frequent flier loyalty program…

…and do not be surprised if the frequent flier loyalty programs of other airlines also launch similar offers as an incentive for you and other passenger to travel more…
