The bolded dark red part of this statement — “only one 500 bonus Gold Passport point bonus may be earned per member, per stay” — seems to imply that this bonus may be earned for each stay for the duration of this promotion instead of only just one time. I have not been able to definitively ascertain at this time whether or not this is indeed true. I will update this portion of this article if and when I do find out.
FlyerTalk member Central90210 posted that — for this promotion — “Cash and points count, 100% points do not.”
Not all FlyerTalk members are happy about this promotion — especially as there was supposedly no announcement about it for almost two weeks after it started. “Wow that makes me even more upset”, FlyerTalk member agjil posted in frustration. “I booked 3 reservations last week, and all of them have gone up in prices since then, so I cannot cancel and rebook at this point. Seriously, I hate promotions that run behind the scenes like this.”
Regardless, this seems like an easy way to earn 500 bonus Gold Passport points on your next stay — although apparently not as lucrative as this similar promotion in 2014 which offered 1,000 bonus Gold Passport points — and no registration for this promotion is required.
