While 500 bonus SkyMiles per set of transactions is better than nothing at all, you may want to first ensure that you do not lose out on elite level status benefits or bonuses if you do not book directly with the lodging company, as some frequent guest loyalty programs permit guests to take full advantage of those benefits and bonuses when reservations are booked directly through their official Internet web sites.

If you still can take full advantage of those benefits and bonuses, then you basically have nothing to lose when participating in this offer — but if you cannot, the 500 bonus SkyMiles may not be worth your time and effort.
