This is a refreshingly simple promotion for what I consider to be one of the most complex frequent flier loyalty programs.
Earn 750 bonus Aeroplan frequent flier loyalty program miles for reward stays at Starwood Hotels & Resorts properties by December 31, 2014 when you redeem through July 31, 2014.
In addition, Aeroplan Distinction frequent flier loyalty program members receive the current Distinction redemption bonus of 500 bonus Aeroplan frequent flier loyalty program miles for dSilver and 750 bonus Aeroplan frequent flier loyalty program miles for dBlack and dDiamond — and please click here for reference if you have no idea what this paragraph means.
Even the terms and conditions are concise and easy to understand. Bonus miles will be deposited four to six weeks after completion of stay.
Wow — I actually have nothing more to say. How simple is that?!?

Actually, there is one thing that isn’t clear with this promo…What kind of a reward stay earns the Aeroplan miles?
A stay booked with SPG points or a stay booked with Aeroplan miles?

The 750 bonus Aeroplan frequent flier loyalty program miles is on an Aeroplan award for a night at a Starwood Hotels & Resorts property, shawneve.

Oh, it’s Aeroplan miles only? Yes, the headline HERE says that, but on the front page of FlyerTalk (the banner with the 5 rolling latest blogs) it sonly says “Bonus Miles”, not “Bonus Aeroplan Miles”, making it sound like it’s available for multiple airlines. Who shortens these headlines on FlyerTalk making the “wrong” in the process???

    1. Brian Cohen says:

I only write the headlines for articles here at The Gate, sdsearch.
I have nothing to do with what is posted on the front “page” of FlyerTalk.
Nevertheless, I apologize for any confusion that may have caused…
