Reaction From FlyerTalk Members
“Wonder if that means no promotion for the rest of the world…like last year” is what FlyerTalk member Saral posted, as FlyerTalk members who are based outside of North America and South America seem to feel slighted and neglected from not being included in promotions such as this one — enough that there is discussion of defecting to another frequent guest loyalty program and also that InterContinental Hotels Group is supposed to be an international lodging company.
Other FlyerTalk members are not convinced that this promotion is lucrative enough in which to participate. “Sadly, no travel I can steer from other brands to IHG and that’s not lucrative enough to mattress run around here”, posted FlyerTalk member CMK10. “I don’t think I’ll be participating much in this one.”
The offer does not seem to add up quite right for FlyerTalk member Thumper: “Headline reads ‘Earn 108,000 bonus points!’ They add up to 102,000 points.”
Suffice to say that many FlyerTalk members are not exactly happy with this promotion.
Other terms and conditions apply for this promotion.
I have been consisting registering in promotions from IHG Rewards Club — such as the recent Accelerate Promotion where I could have earned 33,500 total bonus points when I completed my offers — on a regular basis; but I have not been actively participating for reasons similar to those expressed by FlyerTalk member CMK10. I simply do not find the promotions and their terms intriguing enough in which to participate…
…but that does not mean that this promotion cannot be significantly rewarding for you. Do ensure that you are registered for it in the event that you meet some or all of the level qualifications to boost your earnings of IHG Rewards Club points — which could potentially translate to as many as 13 nights of stays at hotel and resort properties which participate in PointsBreaks, where you could redeem as few as 5,000 IHG Rewards Club points for a night.
Anyway — as I advised — register now for this promotion, as you have nothing to lose other than a moment of your time…
