You can earn double base Gold Plus Rewards points after completing each eligible rental of a vehicle from Hertz for travel through Thursday, December 31, 2020, which is the last day when you may pick up and return the vehicle…
PC# 210217 is only valid with “Hertz Member Program” CDP selected in the “Discount/CDP/Club Code” section.
This promotion is only valid on Pay Later base rates, only with which the double points will be available. This means that rates on which you save money by paying at the time of reserving the vehicle you wish to rent are not valid for this promotion.
Cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions, or discounted rates. Points will appear in member account 30 days after completed rental.
Although this is a good promotion from Hertz and no significant downside technically exists if you plan on renting vehicles from Hertz anyway this year, you may want to keep five things in mind before devoting yourself to this promotion:
Although more restrictive, Pay Now rates — which do not qualify for earning double Gold Plus Rewards points through this promotion — are usually less expensive than rates with which you would pay later and may actually be a better value for you.
Check the destinations to which you plan to drive the rental vehicle, as certain jurisdictions may have special rules in place — such as quarantining yourself for 14 days or not allowing citizens of certain states to visit — as a result of the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic.
Although no countries worldwide seem to be excluded from this promotion, certain regions do not participate in the Hertz Gold Plus Rewards frequent guest loyalty program, as Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points can be earned and redeemed only at participating locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Saint Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. For Hertz On Demand 24/7, qualifying rentals include rentals only in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain.
