Earn Double Points With World of Hyatt Spring 2020 — But…

…but you must register for this promotion by Tuesday, March 31, 2020 prior to checking in for your first stay — and eligibility in this promotion starts with your second qualifying stay and not with your first stay.

Also, the maximum number of points you can earn through this promotion is 100,000 World of Hyatt points. You can choose to earn either World of Hyatt base points, travel partner miles, or M life credits for each qualifying stay in order to earn bonus World of Hyatt points in conjunction with this promotion.

The promotion is simple, as no minimum number of nights are required in your stay; and no restrictions by nights, cities or brands will be implemented.

Hyatt and World of Hyatt Credit Card Additional Bonus

Beginning on your second eligible stay during the aforementioned promotion period, you will receive an additional 1,500 bonus World of Hyatt points per eligible stay — starting with your second stay — which includes a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night during the promotion period.

World of Hyatt will only fulfill the promotion for eligible stays completed after your registration date.

Select Terms and Conditions

Only World of Hyatt base points are doubled, and all points awarded under this promotion are bonus World of Hyatt points, which do not count towards earning elite level status.

For the purpose of this promotion, an eligible stay is defined as any night where a member is paying an eligible rate for at least one night of your stay. Stays on consecutive nights at the same hotel will constitute one stay. Only the room occupied by the member will count toward this promotion. You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of checking in for each stay.

If your first stay begins prior to the promotion period but has a checkout date within the promotion period then you will earn double bonus World of Hyatt points on eligible spend for any subsequent stays that occur during the promotion period, provided you register for the promotion prior to the registration deadline and checking out of the property.

Please allow up to three weeks from completion of your stay for points to appear in your World of Hyatt membership account.

If you are not a member of World of Hyatt, you can join free of charge.

Other terms and conditions — including those of the World of Hyatt frequent guest loyalty program, which defines the terms eligible rate and eligible stay — apply.

Summary

The requirement of not earning bonus World of Hyatt points of any kind until after the second stay is somewhat disappointing, as it simply follows the lead of the promotions of most of the other major frequent guest loyalty programs.

Although getting to Antarctica using miles and points is typically virtually impossible, it can be done by using World of Hyatt frequent guest loyalty program points via its partnership with Lindblad Expeditions — if you are willing to part with between 917,500 and 6,249,375 World of Hyatt points instead of between $14,680.00 and $99,990.00 for your choice of six trips to Antarctica. This promotion could help chip away towards that goal.

Even if you currently have no plans to stay at a hotel or resort property within the brand portfolio of Hyatt or any partners of World of Hyatt, the only cost to you will be the few seconds of your time you spend registering for this promotion — and I have already registered for this promotion.
