More About avid
The goal of avid hotels is to ensure that each guest room is “just right” for all guests by championing everyday travel at a fair price while simultaneously meeting the needs of the guests who all too often have to pay more for things they do not need or compromise on the quality they expect. Offering the type of hospitality guests value most — with the essentials done exceptionally well and experiences that feel just right, every time — is also part of the goal of avid hotels.
Enjoy the most modern, thoughtfully designed hotel of InterContinental Hotels Group with sound-minimizing rooms; 55″ smart televisions; and a quality breakfast to grab and go.
Guarantee of avid Hotels
The guarantee of avid hotels is available at all avid hotel properties worldwide and only for registered guests. For additional information, contact the individual hotel property.
Upon check-in, guests should rest assured that their room will be clean, offer a sound sleep experience, and have everything in working order; and avid hotels stands behind this goal by providing the following guarantee: Within two hours of checking into the hotel property, if a registered guest reports to the manager on duty or front desk staff that the hotel room of the guest does not meet the Guarantee Standards, as defined below, after confirmation by the hotel staff, the hotel will either address the issue in current room or offer a “no fuss” room change to a room of equal value that meets the Guarantee Standards. If the guest opts for a room change, the hotel staff will accompany the guest to the new room to ensure Guarantee Standards have been met in the new room. If there is not another available room that meets the avid hotels Guarantee Standards, the guest will not be charged for room and tax for that night.
Guarantee Standards is defined as a room which meets the following standards:
Room cleaned using brand-specified cleaning processes and checklist with confirmation card left in room;
Fluffy duvet, choice of firm and soft pillows, and blackout roller shade provided in room
IHG Connect Wi-Fi, television with content casting capability, USB and electrical outlets, and all lighting and fixtures provided in proper working order; and
Premium bath amenities from J.R. Watkins provided in the room.

Members can pre-register for this promotion starting July 26, 2021 through August 1, 2021. Members will be able to register, stay, and earn for this promotion beginning August 2, 2021 and ending on November 30, 2021 (“Promotion Period”). Upon registration, members will be presented with the opportunity to earn 4X bonus points every night stayed at an avid hotel during the Promotion Period when paying a Qualifying Rate (as such rates are defined in the IHG Rewards terms and conditions). A member earning “4X bonus points every night”, as defined by this campaign, will receive four times the base points earned on every night stayed at an avid hotel on a qualifying rate. You must register, book, and stay on or before November 30, 2021 to earn bonus points during the Promotion Period.
By clicking “click to register” you are registering for the Promotion. Members will be awarded bonus points based upon the number of nights consumed during the Promotion Period at avid hotels. Promotion Period begins on August 2, 2021 and ends on November 30, 2021. Members will only receive bonus points for nights occurring during the Promotion Period. Nights that occurred before or after the Promotion Period are excluded. The bonus points earned during the Promotion Period can be used towards Reward Nights, can be redeemed for merchandise, or for other redemption opportunities.
Qualifying nights are booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 for said night. The Promotion Period includes 121 nights and the maximum number of bonus points that can be earned per member is 30,000 bonus points over the entire Promotion Period.
For additional details on Qualifying Nights and Rates, please see the full IHG® Rewards Members Terms and Conditions. Only one room per member per Qualifying Night will be eligible for the applicable bonus points, or other benefits (if any) available under the applicable Promotion. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member is eligible for the applicable bonus points, or other benefits (if any) available under the applicable Promotion. If a member books more than one room on the same night, they will only receive Promotion points on one room and points will be based off the room with the higher average room night rate over the Promotion Period. IHG Rewards Members with a Miles earning preference will earn Points. No retroactive bonus points will be awarded for nights prior to registration in the Promotion. Except as otherwise stated in the terms and conditions, please allow up to six weeks for Promotion bonus points to be credited after checkout.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG reserves the right of final interpretation of this Promotion. Members must make any promotional inquiries by 60 days from the end of the Promotional Period.
I do not completely get the purpose of the avid brand. This seems to be yet another brand to chase the “millennial” demographic as the core target market — but I have to wonder: if the goal of avid hotels is to “ensure that each guest room is ‘just right’ for all guests by championing everyday travel at a fair price while simultaneously meeting the needs of the guests who all too often have to pay more for things they do not need or compromise on the quality they expect”, what does that say about the other brands of InterContinental Hotels Group?
