Earn Triple Avios in 2017

Y ou can earn triple Avios in 2017 on all flights operated by British Airways when you register for this promotion and book your flight reservations — and fly as a passenger — by Friday, March 31, 2017.

Triple Avios points will be awarded on the first eight flight sectors flown through Friday, March 31, 2017. A sector is a single qualifying flight between the point of departure and final destination with no scheduled change of aircraft. Avios will appear in your account within 48 hours of completing your journey.

Also eligible for this promotion are flights between Europe and North America operated by American Airlines, Finnair and Iberia which the flight number begins with a British Airways prefix — meaning codeshare flights — as well as all domestic and regional British Airways flights operated by Comair within South Africa.

Reward flights are excluded.

This promotion is only open to members of the British Airways Executive Club frequent flier loyalty program who are 18 years of age or older; reside in a participating country; and book and travel on qualifying flights.

A qualifying flight is a published or corporate negotiated net fare flight in any selling class or cabin, with a British Airways prefix on a British Airways long-haul or short-haul operated service; a British Airways prefix on a transatlantic flight operated by British Airways, American Airlines, Iberia or Finnair between the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and North America, Mexico and Puerto Rico; an OpenSkies service from Paris Orly to Newark or New York; and all domestic and regional British Airways flights operated by Comair within South Africa. The promotion does not apply to travel on flights operated by any other British Airways franchisees, codeshare partners or oneworld Alliance members.

All flight bookings and qualifying flights are subject to availability and capacity control in the booking classes eligible for this promotion at the time of booking.

The qualifying flights for all sectors of the journey must be booked, ticketed and purchased in a participating country, and all travel must be completed within the promotional period.

Avios Points are not transferable and no cash or credit alternative will be offered. This promotion has no cash value. All Avios Points and Tier Points are issued subject to the membership terms and conditions of the British Airways Executive Club.

Bookings made over the telephone from the UK and Ireland will carry a non-refundable £5 offline booking fee per person per ticket. Calls cost up to 5p per minute from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles may vary. An offline booking fee of ZAR120 will be charged for Comair bookings made from South Africa. Bookings from other participating countries may incur a booking fee.

Eligible Participants who change their travel arrangements after the date of booking will not be eligible for any Avios bonus award unless their revised travel arrangements also qualify under the terms and conditions of this promotion.

All bookings under this promotion will be covered by the fare rules and conditions of the original fare. This includes any applicable refund and change fees.

Other terms and conditions apply; and this promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or deal, including but not limited to:

  1. Redemption bookings
  2. Travel agent or industry discounted fares — including agency, industry, employee discounts), inclusive holidays, group discount fares, child or infant fares or senior citizen fares, whether or not booked in one of the qualifying classes; and
  3. Bookings made with vouchers.


All revenue fares — not solely the more expensive ones — qualify for this fairly simple promotion; so if you are already going to be traveling as a passenger aboard airplanes operated by British Airways anyway and you are a member of the British Airways Executive Club frequent flier loyalty program, you should register immediately and take advantage of this promotion.
