…but you must register for this promotion in advance using promotion code 63881 – if you are prompted to enter a promotion code — by Wednesday, April 15, 2020; and you must be a member of the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program.

If you are not already a member yet, to enjoy this benefit, join the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program at no cost.

Once you are registered for this promotion, you can earn bonus points upon completion of qualifying stays — with which your total spend for booking a qualifying stay must be greater than $30.00 in United States dollars with a minimum stay of one night — as you can earn:

  • 1,000 bonus points on your first qualifying night
  • Double bonus points on qualifying nights two through five
  • Triple bonus points on qualifying nights six through 14
  • Quadruple bonus points on 15 qualifying nights and each qualifying night thereafter

Participating Brands

A stay constitutes as a qualifying stay when the guest pays qualifying rates — which include most business and leisure rates at the official Internet web sites of the participating brands of InterContinental Hotels Group — including:

Rate and Stay Exclusions

Bonus points are not issued for non-qualifying room rates or non-qualifying stays, which include the following at the sole discretion of InterContinental Hotels Group:

  • Net wholesale individual and group rate
  • Certain package rates
  • Employee discount rate
  • Friends and family rate
  • Crew rate
  • Special discounted contract rates
  • Seasonal worker rate or crew rate
  • 50 percent travel club discount rate
  • Travel industry discount rate
  • Distressed passenger rate
  • IHG Rewards Club reward nights or airline hotel reward rate
  • Rates booked through third party Internet web sites
  • Complimentary hotel stays
  • Any other rates not defined as a qualifying room rate at the sole discretion of InterContinental Hotels Group

Select Terms and Conditions

A stay is defined as either one night or the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel or resort property, no matter how many times a guest checks out and checks back in again.

The bonus points earned through individual Offers can be used for redemption opportunities towards Reward Nights, merchandise and other redemption opportunities. See individual Offers for the specific terms and conditions per Offer type. Only one room per member per Qualifying Stay will be awarded the applicable bonus points, or other benefits (if any) available under the applicable Offer. If more than one member checks into the same room, only one member is eligible for the applicable bonus points, or other benefits (if any) available under the applicable Offer. Each Promotion Offer of bonus points is available only once to each member. IHG Rewards Club Members with a Miles earning preference will earn Points. No retroactive bonus points will be awarded for Stays prior to Registration. Except as otherwise stated in the terms and conditions, please allow up to three weeks for Promotion Offer bonus points to be credited after checkout.

Any misuse of such rates is considered a fraud activity subject to IHG Rewards Club Membership Terms and Conditions. IHG reserves the right to remove a member’s bonus points or cancel a member’s account if fraudulent use of the Promotion is detected.

Other terms and conditions — including those of the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program — apply.

Although this is not exactly the best frequent guest loyalty promotion which I have ever seen, this quarterly promotion from IHG Rewards Club is still a welcome departure from the Accelerate format, which had been experiencing a steady decline in value for many members. For example, the lone Accelerate promotion for autumn 2019 for me was nothing more than a double IHG Rewards Club points promotion — and for others, it was even worse…

…and it is a rather simple tiered promotion with which you earn bonus points after your first qualifying stay and not after your second qualifying stay, which is also welcomed — and the tiers are easy for anyone to accomplish.

Still, some might opine that this latest promotion is not as lucrative as the most recent quarterly promotion through which you could have also earned up to quadruple points per stay instead of per night — but that all depends on your lodging pattern.

The link you provided asks for a promotional code in order to register. Do you have it?

      1. Brian Cohen says:

That is correct, JD. I will add it to the article.

        Thank you for answering Frank.

Back when I was doing a lot of stays with them, and I was Spire, they offered me lousy promos and gave great ones to people that did little business with them,. I have moved on now and of course they come with offers that would have been great for me then.

Sorry. Too late. I have settled elsewhere,
