The winter solstice starts today, Friday, December 21, 2018 — which means that ski season is upon us. If you enjoy snow skiing, you can choose from twelve ski resort partners at which you can ski for free when you show your boarding pass from a flight on which you were a passenger of Alaska Airlines.

Each ski resort has its own offer as well as terms and conditions; so please read them carefully.

  1. Alyeska Resort Simply present your same day of arrival boarding pass and matching identification at the ticket office and receive a FREE lift ticket Monday through Friday during the Fly and Ski Free Midweek deal. Free lift ticket offer is good for flight arrival date only. Limit one lift ticket per boarding pass. Please present a paper boarding pass for redemption. Dates Available: weekdays January 7, 2019 through April 19, 2019. Blackout Dates:
    • Spring Break: March 11-15, 2019
    • Martin Luther King Junior Holiday: Monday, January 21, 2019
    • Presidents Day: Monday, February 19, 2019
    • Other blackout dates may apply
  2. Big White Ski Resort Ski free on your same day of arrival when you fly with Alaska Airlines during the 2018-2019 ski season. Simply present your same day of arrival boarding pass and corresponding government issued photo identification at the main ticket office and you will be on the slopes before you know it! Please note free skiing is only applicable on the same day as your boarding pass.
  3. Mount Bachelor Take advantage of the Alaska Airlines/Horizon early flight arrivals at the Redmond/Bend airport and hit the slopes with a free Mount Bachelor lift ticket in addition to a High Performance Ski or Snowboard equipment rental package the day you land. It is as simple as using your Alaska Airlines boarding pass a second time — at the mountain — to get your complimentary adult lift ticket and equipment rental! Free Ticket and Rental Offer is only valid on the day of travel, with presenting same day boarding pass on Alaska Airlines/Horizon flights.
  4. Red Lodge Mountain Fly Alaska Airlines and ski for free on your day of departure. Simply present your boarding pass on your departure date at any Red Lodge Mountain ticket window to redeem a ticket for your stated day of departure.
    • Limit one free ticket per boarding pass presented.
    • Not to be combined with any other offers and has no cash value.
  5. RED Mountain Resort will offer Alaska Airlines customers that fly to Spokane one adult lift ticket valid December 8, 2018 to April 7, 2019. No blackouts. Just present your boarding pass and identification to RED Mountain Resort Guest Services to redeem the free ticket. Please note that boarding passes must be dated between December 8, 2018 to April 7, 2019.
  6. Schweitzer Mountain Resort Fly Alaska Airlines to Schweitzer this winter and when you show your boarding pass, you can ski for FREE on the day you arrive in Spokane! This offer is valid for day of flight arrival in Spokane ONLY.
  7. Ski Marmot Basin Present your Alaska Airlines boarding pass and receive a full day ticket to ski free the day you depart. Restrictions apply.
    • Receive a free full day lift ticket.
    • Purchase a 3-consecutive day lift ticket for the price of a 2-day lift ticket.
  8. Snowbasin Resort Fly Alaska Airlines to Salt Lake City International airport on any of the direct flights from seven different cities between Monday and Wednesday and register at SkiOgden.com for your free lift ticket to Snowbasin Resort. Visit www.visitogden.com/ski-ogden/snowbasin-ski-free-promotion to register for the ski free promotion after booking your Alaska Airlines flight. Must present your boarding pass, Visit Ogden confirmation email and photo identification at Snowbasin Resort within 24 hours of arrival for a free single day lift ticket. Valid December 3, 2018 through December 13, 2018; and January 7, 2019 through April 11, 2019. You must fly Monday through Wednesday and redeem ticket for same day use on Tuesday through Thursday on the day following your flight.
  9. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Resort Guests arriving on Alaska Airlines can ski or ride for free. Present your same day Alaska Airlines boarding pass with a matching photo ID at the Guest Services and Sales Center at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows and receive a complimentary full-day lift ticket valid from 9:00 in the morning through 4:00 in the afternoon.
    • Present your same-day commercial airline boarding pass with a matching photo ID at the Ticket Office at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows and receive a complimentary lift ticket valid on the same day you arrive
    • Lift ticket valid at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows

  10. Steamboat Ski Resort Show your Alaska Airlines boarding pass for travel from Seattle or San Diego to Steamboat Springs (HDN) airport to the Steamboat ticket office and get a free day of skiing on your departure date.
  11. Sun Valley Resort Fly on Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Friedman Memorial Airport in Sun Valley and redeem your boarding pass for one of these offers:
    • Free sport package rental at Pete Lane’s Mountain Sports the day after arrival
    • 50 percent off adult group lesson the day after arrival
  12. Whitefish Mountain Resort Fly Alaska Airlines and ski for free on your day of departure. Simply present your boarding pass on your departure date at any ticket window to redeem a ticket for your stated day of departure.
    • Limit one free ticket per boarding pass presented.
    • Not to be combined with any other offers and has no cash value.
    • Expires at the end of the Winter 2018/19 Season.
    • Not valid on “non-rev” tickets.
    • Offer not valid December 26, 2018 through January 1, 2019 and February 16, 2019 through February 18, 2019.

Terms and Conditions

Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or all days. If nonstop service is offered during the advertised travel period, the advertised fare applies to the nonstop flights only. Bag fees apply for checked baggage. An additional VAT fee from $2.15 (CAD) per bag for bags checked in Canada may apply.

For travel solely within the state of Alaska, customers may check up to three bags free of charge. Additional fees apply to check more than three bags or overweight or oversized items.

These fares cannot be refunded and are only available on flights marketed by Alaska Airlines for travel on Alaska Airlines, Virgin America, Horizon Air, SkyWest, or PenAir. A ticket purchased at an Alaska Airlines airport location or through one of our reservation call centers will cost $15.00 more per person than the advertised fare. Applicable fare and tax differences apply to any changes made after ticketing. A $125.00 change fee in United States dollars per person applies to changes made within 60 days of ticketed travel. The change fee is waived when travel is wholly within the state of Alaska on flights operated by Alaska Airlines. Fares include United States government taxes and fees. Canadian and Mexican government taxes and fees that are included in the fares shown are based on the current currency exchange rate and are subject to change.
