FlyerTalk Member JDiver to Match Donations to Help Victims of the Boston Marathon Explosions
The manhunt for the suspects allegedly responsible for the explosions near the finish line at the Boston Marathon last week has concluded — but many of the victims of the explosions and their families are still suffering from the pain and trauma of the explosions, which has permanently changed some of their lives forever.
FlyerTalk member and senior moderator JDiver has issued a challenge to his fellow FlyerTalk members to help assist those victims by generously offering to match your donation to The One Fund Boston — up to $1,000.00 by May 30, 2013 — in addition to what he has already contributed to the fund.
The One Fund Boston is the only approved charity for the victims of the bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 14, 2013, from which three people were killed — including a boy eight years of age — and at least 180 people were injured.
FlyerTalk members are also offering to donate frequent traveler loyalty program miles or points, as per the idea of FlyerTalk member MFinch6141.
