H ow would you like to bid on a chance to win one of a number of great travel prizes while simultaneously supporting a worthy cause where you can have a positive impact on the lives of many children around the world who need your help?

FlyerTalk Sponsors Twelfth Annual Kids First Fund Auction

You can bid on a global selection of travel items during the twelfth annual Kids First Auction — sponsored once again by FlyerTalk — which includes airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals and feature signature items. Unfortunately, the first and second auctions — which began on Sunday, May 8, 2016 and Sunday, May 15, 2016 respectively — had already concluded. However, the third and final auction is currently active at the Internet bidding sites of FlyerTalk and eBay and will conclude on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 — so be sure to click here for access to both auction sites.

Returning for 2016 is the eBay auction Internet web site of Kids First Fund, offering a traditional array of airline tickets, hotel stays, car rental vouchers, and sightseeing tours.

Six Mosaic elite status level memberships — each valid through the end of 2017 — of the JetBlue TrueBlue frequent flier loyalty program have been slated to be up for auction this year. Each membership includes — but is not limited to — benefits such as free checked luggage, waived change fees, waived cancellation fees, and early boarding.

Additional items up for bid include flight certificates aboard United Airlines good for travel within North America; hotel vouchers good for two nights at locations across the United Kingdom of Tune Hotels as well as individual hotel stays from greater than ten hotel locations across the United States. If you are looking to add some miles or points to your frequent travel loyalty program accounts, you can also bid on auctions officially authorized by such travel companies as Airberlin Topbonus, Delta SkyMiles, IHG Rewards, Spirit Airlines, Starwood Preferred Guest and Wyndham Rewards.

“The FlyerTalk community of expert travelers always enjoys the unique opportunity to bid on miles, points, and other travel-themed items,” Stephen Horowitz — who is the senior business development manager at Internet Brands, which is the parent company of FlyerTalk — said in a press release. “This year we’re excited that they will even be able to bid on elite status in the JetBlue TrueBlue program.”

Kids First Fund

The Kids First Fund is a charity based in the United States which helps abused children in resource-poor areas of the world by developing programs which provide professional education to identify and treat abused children. For example, the fund has been responsible for creating a family shelter in Latvia which cares for abused women and their children. Every penny donated during this auction and to the Kids First Fund will be spent on projects to benefit children. No funds are deducted for salaries or administrative expense, as all proceeds of the auctions will go to the Kids First Fund.

Since partnering with the Kids First Fund, FlyerTalk has raised greater than $50,000.00 for the charity.

I once again apologize for not bringing this information to your attention sooner like I did in 2014; but — like last year — I first found out about it from this article written by Joe Cortez at FlyerTalk.

Please consider participating in this auction — perhaps you will win one of the aforementioned travel prizes.

Good timing. Looks like there is a deal I can use. Wish I had seen the other auctions.
