Summer Airfare Sale
Today, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 is the last day to take advantage of the Salute to Summer sale offered by Qatar Airways where airfares from select airports in the United States are as low as $675.00 round trip for travel between Thursday, June 1, 2017 through Sunday, April 15, 2018.
The airfares are okay, I suppose — but not exactly the lowest which I have ever seen.
Terms and conditions for the sale apply.
This is your opportunity to discover Doha on your journey to “club it with city tours, a desert safari adventure, museum visits, or dinner aboard a traditional dhow to truly experience and enjoy Arabian hospitality.”
I wish more airlines offered this opportunity; but in recent years, some airlines have been eliminating free stopovers on either revenue tickets, award tickets — or both. I used to enjoy visiting places such as Prague and Venice at no extra cost; but successfully booking itineraries with free stopovers has become increasingly difficult on some airlines.
Keep in mind that if you do take advantage of this offer and the United States is either your origination or destination, you will likely encounter the electronics ban which is currently in effect. Plan accordingly.
As much as I would like to take advantage of this offer, the electronics ban currently in effect is the main reason why I am passing up on this offer for now…
