Get 10 Percent Additional Value When Exchanging for Future Travel Voucher With Qatar Airways

In order to support passengers who need to travel but are unable to do so because of the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic, Qatar Airways is offering its customers three interesting choices in terms of flexibility to change travel plans:

  • Change your date of travel free of charge
  • Exchange the current ticket for a future travel voucher with ten percent additional value
  • Request a refund

If you have already booked your ticket — or are planning to book your ticket — for travel through Wednesday, September 30, 2020, you can choose one of the three aforementioned options.

Fees to rebook your ticket will be waived if reservations are amended at least three days prior to departure for travel on or before Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

Select Terms and Conditions

Valid for any fares of Qatar Airways only purchased either directly from Qatar Airways or through travel agents.

If you have booked your ticket through a travel agent, please contact your travel agent to amend your booking or exchange your ticket for a travel voucher.

If you have booked your ticket on qatarairways.com or through any of our offices, you can re-book or exchange your ticket for a travel voucher by calling any of our offices or our Contact Center.

  • Travel Voucher
    • The voucher is non–refundable and non-transferable; and is valid for further transportation on Qatar Airways marketed flights only and/or Qatar Airways ancillary services if requested at least three days prior to departure.
    • If your ticket is fully unused, the full equivalent amount will be issued on a non-refundable voucher valid for travel within 12 months from the date of the voucher issuance.
    • If your ticket is partially used, the unutilized amount of your ticket will be reissued on a non-refundable travel voucher valid for one year from the date of voucher issuance.
    • The 10 percent additional amount will be calculated on the unutilized base fare — taxes and all other applicable charges excluded — of the ticket originally paid and remains non-refundable.
  • Refunds
    • If your flight has been cancelled or disrupted, all applicable penalties shall be waived if cancellations are implemented prior to departure.
    • If your flight has not been cancelled or disrupted, any relevant penalties will be applied according to the applicable fare rules of the fare paid.
    • The amount of the refund will be credited using the original form of payment used to purchase the ticket.

Summary

A refund is usually best in terms of ensuring the greatest amount of flexibility for your future travel plans — or even if you do not want to apply your refund towards travel at all — but the incentive of receiving ten percent additional value for a future travel voucher to what you purchased on your current ticket is a potentially good deal if you intend to exchange it.
