Great Sale? Perhaps — If You Can Get Through; and If…

F rontier Airlines is having a great sale effective through tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from the many articles I have read today; and unlike many other sales offered by Frontier Airlines — such as this one from six days ago — the sale fares can be used on round-trip itineraries instead of only one way; and you do not need to be a member of the Discount Den to take advantage of these low airfares.

All right — I thought I would do a little research and sample some itineraries to report to you. That was initially not possible, as I kept encountering the rather apologetic message you see at the top of this article.

Well, that’s nice. It is rather irritating when a sale is promoted but the company offering the sale apparently does not have the technical infrastructure to be able to handle the traffic.

Being persistent, I finally got through; and the official Internet web site of Frontier Airlines was slo-o-o-o-o-w. I thought I was back on dial-up access to the Internet for a moment. Here is a sample round-trip airfare between Atlanta and New York:

I did not venture further into the booking process because the Internet web site was extremely slow; and I was not interested in purchasing a ticket.

The airfares are only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as seen below for flights between Chicago and San Francisco before the discount is applied…

The airfare is $20.00 each way — actually, $19.99 each way — before the discount code is applied.

…so the good news is that it is indeed possible to book a round-trip airfare for as low as $29.98 if:

  • You use promotion code SAVEBIG when booking your flight itinerary
  • Your travels occur between Tuesday, September 1, 2015 through Wednesday, November 18, 2015
  • You do not need to pay any extra in ancillary fees
  • Blackout dates do not disrupt your travel plans
  • You are able to travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday; and
  • You have a lot of patience and time researching and booking the flights you want

Round-trip purchase is not required. Other terms and conditions apply.
